HARD LIVER BARLEYWINE FESTIVAL
April 8th – April 15th: Hard Liver Barley Wine Festival @ Brouwer’s Café. Brouwer’s Café will be clearing out the taps to bring in 40+ Barley Wines of varying vintages for a weeklong Barley Wine extravaganza. Most will be from the Pacific Northwest region, with a few east coast examples - Alaskan, Anacortes, Anchor, Bear Creek, Bear Republic (pending), Big Sky, Bridgeport, Boundary Bay, Dicks, Dogfish Head, Elliot Bay, Elysian, Far West Ireland, Fish Tale, Flying Dog, Full Sail, Hair of the Dog, Hales Ales, Heads Up, Hood Canal, Lagunitas, Leavenworth, Midnight Sun (pending), North Coast, Rogue, Samuel Smith, Scuttlebutt, Sierra Nevada, Skagit River, Snipes Mountain, Stone, Victory, and Young’s. Different sized samplers will be available, as well as some specialized food pairings.
Brouwer's Café, a Flemish Grand Café, is located at 400 North 35th in Fremont. It's a unique restaurant with over forty taps, two hundred bottled beers, wine and a definitive list of spirits from the house aperitif to after dinner scotch or grappa.
