SCOOCH CUGNO and the 88's
Olympia, Washington, based blues man John "Scooch" Cugno brings his band, The 88's, to the Rockfish for the first time.
Originally from New England, Cugno moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1993, first to Twin Falls, Idaho, then to the Puget Sound area. He has performed alongside an impressive line-up of the blues’ best, including John Lee Hooker, Howlin’ Wolf, John Nemeth and E.C. Scott, as well as respected Northwest musicians like Henry Cooper and Jimmy Lloyd Rea.
Recently, the band has been recognized by the Washington Blues Society with a B.B. Awards nomination for Best Traditional Blues Act; and his latest release The Road Leads Home has been receiving airplay on radio stations across the country.
