ERIC MADIS and PETE MARTIN

The music of guitarist-singer-composer Eric Madis reflects his diverse and deep roots in American music: blues, jazz, country and Hawaiian. Eric has released five CD’s on Luna Records, and his music has appeared on film soundtracks, television and radio. Although best known for his solo and group work, Eric’s guitar artistry has appeared on numerous recordings and he has performed with a diversity of recording artists, including Chicago bluesman Big Walter Horton, Hawaii’s Fabulous Farden Family, ukulele virtuoso Bill Tapia, swing violinist Paul Anastasio, and poet-author Nicki Grimes. Eric was a 1981 Kerrville Festival New Folk finalist, a 1991 Seattle Guitar Starz finalist, and he has received multiple award nominations from Washington Blues Society and the Northwest Area Music Association. Eric has taught guitar classes and workshops throughout the US and Canada, currently teaches for Dusty Strings Music School in Seattle and his online guitar lessons with JamPlay.com are popular worldwide.

Some great musicians leave their mark in history by impressive superhuman ability and performance skills. Other important influencers leave a legacy of lucidity, an uncanny ability to explain, to make the complex simple and repeatable on a mortal level. Such is the case with Seattle area mandolinist/fiddler Peter Martin.

You've probably known him from his articles in Mandolin Magazine, and you may have had the good fortune of attending one of his west coast workshops or participated directly in a private Skype lesson. If you're in the latter camp, you'll agree that Pete's foremost gift to the mandolin world is clarity.

IAN McFERON

“With a jingle of tambourine we get a likely candidate for album of the year – simple as… Soaked in California sunshine one minute, then deep in the dustbowl the next, it’s like a greatest hits of everyone you like.” -Rudie Humphrey Americana UK

Ian McFeron’s music and songwriting have drawn comparisons to John Lennon, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, David Gray, and Ryan Adams among others. Weaving together a variety of popular styles, McFeron explores traditions ranging from electric-rock to gospel; from acoustic-pop to Americana , blues and swing.

McFeron established roots in his hometown after his debut was picked up by famed Seattle radio station KMTT 103.7 “The Mountain”. Listeners responded strongly, and subsequent releases garnered continued support from the station. McFeron went on to share the stage with international artists such as Patty Griffin, Sister Hazel, Shawn Mullins, Brandi Carlile, Mike Doughty, Amos Lee, and Hayes Carll.

Early success in Seattle drew McFeron into a full-time recording and touring career. He would spend the next decade performing throughout the United States, growing a national audience and attracting media attention stretching across the Atlantic.

A compulsive writer, McFeron followed up his debut album with seven LP’s in the next ten years. Currently, he tours in support of his 8th studio album, “Radio”, recorded in Nashville, TN with Grammy nominated Producer and Guitarist Doug Lancio.

Performers on Radio appear on records with Robert Plant, Nora Jones, Elton John, Ray LaMontagne, Steve Earle, Patty Griffin, John Hiatt, Buddy Miller, and Eli Young Band among others.

McFeron is joined on tour by fiddler, cellist, and harmony vocalist Alisa Milner. Milner grew up playing old-time fiddle music, spending her youth competing in state and national fiddle competitions throughout the Northwestern United States. When she’s home, Milner continues to play in an old-time fiddle group along with her father and her two brothers.

“McFeron’s music recalls classic, sweet-spot folk-rock ‘n’ roll favored by Tom Petty, Ryan Adams, Jackie Greene and Bob Dylan.”
