Bellingham-based Tea Seas Trio is difficult to define and impossible to resist! They play an intoxicating mix of psychedelic surf jazz, latin boogaloo, enigmatic funk, spy themes and film soundtrack reinventions. And that’s just for starters.

One of the busiest trios in the area, its members Tyler Morgan Clarke (guitars, vocals), Roger Yamashita (bass) and Joel Litwin (drums) bring with them extensive jazz training, rock sensibilities and a penchant for the obscure. Their deep grooves and electrifying repertoire captivate audiences wherever and whenever they play.

This is an eclectic and exhilarating group, unlike any other you’re likely to see. They make even the esoteric accessible and thoroughly engaging. Crowd-pleasing music.

Playing professionally in the Northwest for many years now, Marcus Cushway is what you would call a modern guitar player who puts a high value on well known melody lines. He brings uniquely crafted instrumental covers of songs by Prince, U2, Tom Petty, The Cranberries and Radiohead just to name a few. Combine that with his own multi layered, guitar oriented originals and what you end up with is a musical treat for the listener's ears. Come see him play live August 8th.

Vocalist Trish Hatley is one of the most beloved and enduring figures on the Northwest music scene.

Known for her easy sense of swing, beautiful tone and innate sensitivity to the music, she effectively balances technical mastery with genuine accessibility, making her extremely popular among jazz fans everywhere she performs.

Hatley is also one of the hardest working musicians around. She performs and records with her own band, the Trish Hatley Quintet, as well as the vocal jazz trio Trish, Hans & Phil. She has appeared in several Pops concerts with the Everett Symphony and has also been a frequent guest vocalist with Jim Kerl’s Swing Session Big Band.

Trish has recorded five CD’s to date and has also produced four shows: “A Fifth of Jazz,” “Women in Song”, “Isn’t It Romantic” and “The Great American Songbook.” Her latest CDs, “I Remember” was released in January 2010, and released in March 2010, “Sing, Ask and It Is Given,” a collection of affirmations set to original jazz melodies that she composed.

Trish performs regularly at festivals, nightspots and concerts throughout the Northwest. Showtime for Trish's Rockfish performance is 6PM.

"When I think of Trish, the first word that comes to mind is dazzling. Her ability to captivate the audience while inspiring the musicians has made Trish one of our most requested soloists."
—Dr. Paul Cobb, Conductor, Everett Symphony

"This slim brunette does it all with a style and energy suffused with a self effacing wit and possesses a soulful soprano voice!"
—Nancy Wollbeck, Anacortes American

Blues Union is a soulful groove machine fronted by B-3 Organ and vocalist, John Carswell and drummer Jud Sherwood. The two have been performing throughout the Pacific Northwest since 1998 laying down the groove at festivals, in clubs, and other outdoor venues.

Carswell loves a good time, and he loves to make you smile doing what he does best. In 2001 Carswell and Sherwood released their debut album, Blues By Two: Room with a View, on The Jazz Project Label. A follow-up recording, Blues Union: Goin’ Down Slow, was released in 2007 and features the instrumentation before you today.

Joining Sherwood and Carswell on the festival stage are saxophonist Josh Cook and guitarist Brian Cunningham, two Northwest musicians who perform regularly as sidemen and leaders of their own groups.

Their latest CD, The Man, was recorded at Brian Cunningham’s Sharp Nine Studios in 2014.
